Alumni in Action: Chris Maxwell gets award for contribution to Ohio State win over # 12 Miami
Football: The Ohio State football coaching staff has selected its weekly award winners for outstanding play in Saturday’s 36-24 victory over No. 12 Miami.
Cornerback Chimdi Chekwa, with two interceptions and six tackles, is the defensive player of the week. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who rushed for 113 yards and a score and passed for 233 yards and a touchdown, is the offensive player of the week. Devin Barclay, who tied the Ohio State record with five field goals, is the player of the week on the special units.
Justin Boren was named as the Jim Parker lineman of the week. Dexter Larimore received the Attack Force award on defense. The Jack Tatum big hit of the week was not awarded.
