Trey completed an outstanding 2009 season moving to Defensive lineman this season and having immediate success.   Trey lead the FAVC in tackles in 2009, was awarded Kings football Most Improved Defensive Player of the year, was first team all FAVC, 1st team All-City, 2nd Team All Southwest Ohio and 1st Team All Academic All-Ohio.

Coach Andy Olds admired Trey’s willingness to put the team first this season.   Coach Olds had this to say about Trey’s success this season,  ” Playing defensive end for us his senior year was not Trey’s first choice. The previous year he played outside linebacker and was looking to use that year of learning to set up for a great senior season for him. But we asked Trey to play a position that would help Kings Football. We did not move him because he could not play outside linebacker but because we need him to fill a void in our overall team scheme defensively. We simply asked Trey to put the “goal” of our team first and his “personal” goal second. As a result of Trey’s willingness to choose his “team” over “himself”, he would record what most players would regard as ‘a dream senior season”. He was first Team All Conference, voted Most Improved Defensive Player by the coaching staff, All District, All City, Academic all Ohio, and his latest accomplishment was being selected at the Anthony Munoz Defensive Lineman of the Year in Division 2. If future players in the Kings Football program follow Trey’s example of unselfishness, our program could reach heights never seen by any Kings team in the history of our program!”
