Just like the Pulse-Journal pre-game analysis called it, Kings wins behind the arm of Jonny Brewster and the legs of Jaimre Westbrook combined with another Knights Defensive shutout! Kings 45 – Amelia 0.

Game Recap:
On a perfect autumn night for football the Amelia Barons made the long trip to challenge the Knights at the castle.
The Barons tried to start the game with the element of surprise, but the ever alert Collin Taylor recovered the onside kick giving the Knights incredible field position at their own 49 yard line. Unfortunately, the Knights could not take advantage of the opportunity and were forced to punt the ball.
Amelia spit the bit on their first possession and was forced into their own 3 and out. After a shanked punt the Knights began their 5 play drive capped off by a 20 yard hitch pass from Jonny Brewster to Justin Crull for the Knights first score of the evening. An Evan Berg extra point made the score 7-0 Kings.
Thanks to the Kings defense, Amelia was forced into another 3 and out on their second possession of the evening- which became a recurring theme for the evening.
The Knights began their next drive on their own 35 yard line. This series featured Brewster hitting Crull for a 51 yard pass and a 14 yard scramble into the end zone, pushing the Kings lead to 14-0.
The Knights added insult to injury by recovering their own onside kick at the Amelia 44 yard line. This drive was a showcase for Jamire Westbrook who ran for 5 yards and took a swing pass for a 39 yard td to increase the Knights lead to 21-0.
On the next series Amelia was finally able to move the ball but the Knights defense bent but would not break forcing another punt by the Barons.
Amelia returned the favor forcing the Knights to punt for the first time in the game, but the Barons luck would not hold as they fumbled the punt which was recovered by Sean Horan at the Amelia 33 yard line. Three plays later Amelia intercepted a Brewster pass to end the threat.
The Knights defense stood tall and thwarted their next series forcing the Barons to try a 4th down play which failed miserably.
Kings struck quickly on a 7 play 63 yard drive highlighted by rushing for 41 yards. A Brewster 11 yard rush to pay dirt capped off the first half with the Knights leading 28-0.
The halftime highlight was the $10,000 pick up punt. Mr. Westbrook punted from the 30 yard line and the football bounced around the pickup’s bed and trickled out generating a large groan from the crowd.
The 3rd quarter began with another big Knights defensive stand, forcing yet another Baron 3 and out.
A weak punt set the Knights up at their own 45 yard line. Kings brought the hammer down quickly on a 2 play touchdown highlighted by a 51 yard run by Brian Huffman through an Amelia defense that resembled swiss cheese to increase Kings lead to 35-0.
Amelia mounted their only serious threat of the evening, driving down to the Knights’ 12 yard line, but once again the defense came up large and proud stopping the Barons on a 4th and 4 to turn the ball over on downs.
Behind the arm of Brewster and the running of Westbrook the Knights again moved the ball down the field resulting in an Evan Berg field goal to increase the Knights lead to 38-0.
On their next series Amelia was stopped again and foolishly attempted a fake punt which was stuffed by the Knights.
The Knights put the game away with Huffman again slicing through the Barons’ defense like a hot knife through butter for a 25 yard touchdown to end the scoring at 45-0.
